Give up smoking : Why Folk Do Bad Things.
Time after time I hear about folk who get truly close to giving up smoking. They can get all of the way down to 1 or 2 cigarettes a day, but just can’t give up those last 2. What’s this thing? What’s at this core? How many adults did you know who are happy? I mean truly, actually happy? Think that question is foolishness? Let me ask you this. Think about dreams that were squashed when we were young. The really successful people that leave my office as non-smokers are the ones that are finished making an attempt to give up and have decided to become a non-smoker. We can not do anything if all we do is trying. Make efforts to do or attain ( something ) ; attempt : attempted to board. As you can see there’s nothing about the word try that equals success. I don’t desire my clients to try, I would like them to succeed. In order for this to happen they must have in their mind the right words for success. When you’re in hypnosis you are in control and in an increased state of awareness. You can’t be made to do anything against your will or that you don’t wish to do. The usefulness of a hypnotic session rides exactly on the shoulders of the individual being hypnotized.
Smokers will be in a position to relate to this one — if you have just had a fight with your family, what do you do? You go for a smoke. When you give up smoking ( or any unacceptable habit ), you are all of a sudden faced with real life.
